On September 24 local time, tokenization company Ondo Finance launched Ondo Intelligent Portfolios, which bundle multiple assets into a single token. The three products—High Income, Diversified Growth, and High Growth—are based on model strategies developed for Ondo by asset manager BlackRock.
Each product consists of Ondo Stocks, which are tokenized versions of stocks and exchange-traded funds. Investors can hold one token whose performance is linked to multiple assets. Smart contracts automatically rebalance the asset weights to their target levels on a set schedule, while holdings, weights, and adjustment history are disclosed onchain.
The tokens are issued by Ondo Global Markets, while Ondo handles product implementation and operation. BlackRock supplies the model strategies but does not directly manage or market the token products. Except in limited circumstances, BlackRock has no obligation to update the strategies, and Ondo decides whether to implement any changes. The token held by an investor is a separate security issued by Ondo and does not confer direct ownership of the underlying stocks or ETFs.
The service is available to eligible non-U.S. investors in permitted countries. Ethereum and BNB Chain are currently supported, with Solana support also announced. Investors must complete identity and eligibility checks to issue or redeem tokens directly through the Ondo platform.
